Gidleigh Park to Avon Gorge - Hotel Du Vin (Bristol) (101 miles)

5th May 2022

After an amazing breakfast at Gidleigh Park, we set off on our second longest day! Almost 11 hours on our bikes, covering 162km!!

One of the day’s highlights was passing through the Mendip Hills AONB, a limestone landscape of steep hills, undulating plateaus and grasslands exploding with a rainbow palette of wildflowers.

Cheddar Gorge was breathtaking and pretty steep ..! We went from Devon to Somerset we are ticking off the counties!!!

Tonight we welcome Tors & Andrew to our happy peloton! Tomorrow is “only” 89km, we can’t wait!!!!

Leaving Gidleigh Park

    1. We have spare batteries, which were very much appreciated, especially on the big hills! There was a LOT of charging at the hotels each night 🙃
